Releases prior to 7.3.x can be reviewed in the "7x" and "6x" PDFs attached at the end of this article.
Note: The Knowledge Platform product certifications are listed here.
This table shows the Stewardship Tier (formerly the DSP) release dates alongside the versions of other products that the given release was certified against.
Note: Syniti fully supports the Standard and Enterprise editions of SQL Server. The Developer editions of SQL Server are NOT supported on production and demo systems.
Note: SQL Server versions marked with an asterisk (*) were certified with Transparent Data Encryption (TDE) activated. TDE does have a measurable performance impact of 3 to 5% according to Microsoft (docs.microsoft.com). SST testing confirmed this and sometimes found a higher impact.
Note: Release 7.4.6 adds support for running the SQL Server databases in AWS RDS (full details). However, the source and target for CTS or Promote must both be RDS or both be non-RDS databases.
This table lists the exact SAP product versions that were tested for each SST release. However, Syniti does support SST systems that use newer versions of SAP products than those listed in the table.
Note: In S/4 HANA 2023, users may encounter an issue posting to table BUT0ID - Business Partner Identification Numbers. This is either directly in SAP via transaction BP or through BAPI / BS4/BAPI_BP_MAINTAIN. We have observed that functions and transactions attempting to insert or update data in this table fail with a "SQL CODE 403" message. Users that encounter this type of error for any table should have their SAP BASIS or ABAP development team open a support ticket with SAP for a resolution.
Note: Collect table extracts using RFCs should use the BOA RFC Read Table configuration. In S/4 HANA 2023, we have seen a regression in SAP's own RFC_READ_TABLE function that may affect extracting data in batch sizes smaller than the total table record count.
Note: While SST testing showed no issues, SAP does not support the IPS SP7 and DS/IS SP14 combination that was used to test SST 7.4.0 and 7.1.4. (SAP Note 1740516)
