Summary: | How to set a different port number for connections to Microsoft SQL Server |
SQL Server allows TCP/IP connections from IP clients listening on default port 1433.
If you need to handle a SQL Server instance which allows TCP connections on a port other than the default, or if the SQL Server instance is reachable via proxy using a different port from 1433, you can specify the port number in the connection string along with the IP address, separated by a comma.
In the Syniti DR/DBMoto Management Center:
1. Using the Metadata Explorer, select the SQL Server connection.
2. From the right mouse button menu, choose Connection Properties.
3. In the Source Connection Properties dialog, expand the Connection entry.
4. Click the ellipsis button (...) to the far right of the Connection row.
5. In the Connection properties dialog, edit the Data Source value to add the port number .
