The default port number for TCP/IP connections to MS SQL Server is 1433, but this can be configured so use the instructions below or check with your database administrator for your configuration.
In the SQL Server Configuration Manager:
- Select SQL Server Network Configuration>Protocols for <SQLSrv-Instance>.
- Double-click TCP/IP.
- In the TCP/IP Properties dialog, select the IP Addresses tab.
- In the IP ALL section, check the TCP Dynamic Ports or TCP Port fields for the <port> value. Right-click each address, and then click Properties to identify the IP address.
