Affects Versions
All released versions of Data Quality in the Stewardship Tier (formerly DSP).
Issue
When reviewing the rows in a Data Quality report, clicking a column header to sort the report rows can sometimes produce an error. Also, the rows fail to sort by the column.
Here is an example of the error text:
Internal Error
The website could not finish processing the current request due to an unexpected system error.
Summary
The website reports the following:
Requested value 'Column Header' was not found.
Resolution
This issue is known to be caused by column headers that include a colon (:) character. There are likely other special characters that will prevent sorting, so we recommend removing all special characters from column headers.
The simplest solution is to remove the special characters from the column names in the underlying report. However, when this is not possible, you can instead use a Catalog to update the column headers with text that has no special characters.
Steps to follow when updating the underlying report is not possible:
- Create a Catalog (Help)
- Add Phrases to the Catalog (Help)
- Add the Catalog to the "dspMonitor" WebApp (Help)
