NOTE: This problem has been resolved in the 7.0.2 release of Syniti Solutions (DSP). It should not appear in any site running 7.0.2 or later.
Problem:
Source Report descriptions longer than 50 characters (including spaces) can cause Target processing to fail when Generate Documentation is enabled.
Cause:
When processing a Target with Generate Documentation enabled, a long Source Report description can cause the following error:
Failed to enable constraints. One or more rows contain values violating non-null, unique, or foreign-key constraints.
Resolution:
Disabling Generate Documentation in Transform or shortening these descriptions to under 50 characters will allow you to generate the audit report manually without receiving an error.
Note: if it is not possible to disable Generate Documentation, then the only fix for this is to shorten the descriptions.
To disable Generate Documentation in Transform:
- Select dspMigrate > Advanced Configuration > Parameters in the Navigation pane.
- Click the Transform tab.
- Click Edit.
- Under Report Settings, click the Generate Documentation checkbox to uncheck it.
- Click Save.
To shorten the Target Source descriptions to under 50 characters:
- Select the Target Source Reports (Transform > Targets > Sources > Reports) with more than 50 characters in the DESCRIPTION field (hold the Ctrl key to select multiple reports).
- Click Edit.
- Shorten the descriptions of all Target Source Reports in Transform to fewer than 50 characters.
- Click Save.
