Summary: | How to import data into Microsoft Excel or Word |
You can import data into Excel or Word using Microsoft Query. Query is usually included in Microsoft Office packages that include Excel and Access.
Notes on Excel:
- Query usually works with File DSNs, not System or User DSNs.
- Query returns data from IBM Db2 for i into a portion of the Excel sheet A1->D6 (you can choose where to put the data).
- After importing your data into a portion of the spreadsheet, you can reference values into other cells: If you want the value of cell A1 in cell Z5, type " =A1 " in cell Z5.
- You can use also PivotTable reports to display DB2 data in Excel.
