Excel Integration - Fliter Option

Hi All,

Is it possible to Enable only a Filter Option in the File downloaded through Excel Integration?

  Hi Vamshi,

  Thank you for the clarification.  I certainly understand the effort now.  There are features that get disabled in Excel when a sheet is "protected".  If you go to the "Review" menu in Excel, you should find a button that allows you to "unprotect" the sheet or the workbook.  This will ask you to provide a password for unprotecting.  I'll email you the password directly, since some customers likely don't want their users being able to Google for the unprotect password.

  Hi Vamshi,

  There is no filter option within the Excel Integration 'Download Template' feature.  However, it will only download the rows currently on the page in the SST/DSP.  This means you can filter the page first and then run the Excel Integration 'Download Template' feature.  For example, I can go to the Admin -> Security -> Users page, right-click on my name there, select 'Filter', and then use the Excel Integration 'Download Template' feature to download just my User record.  Does that make sense?  You can also filter a page's recordset by using the 'Search' box in the top-right corner.

  Thanks for the Response.

  We have developed Custom webapp for User to review and Provide the data. Here Actually the User wants to Download the File using Excel Integration. After downloading it, he Wants to Change the Filters and apply Multiple Filters on the Downloaded file for Multiple Times. 

  Do we have any Solution for above Problem?

  Hi Vamshi,

  I'm not sure I understand why the filters cannot be applied in SST/DSP or in the downloaded Excel file.  If the Excel sheet needs to be unprotected, the user can do so with a password.  Please open a Support ticket to request the password.  Of course, once the sheet is unprotected, the user might make an update that breaks the Excel Integration 'Import Data' feature.

  Hi Ben, 

  Sorry for the delay in response and Sorry if my question was not clear. 

  Actually User have downloaded the file using Excel Integration. But Filter option in the file was disabled. Is there any Possibility to have filter option enabled in the downloaded file?
