What is the process to change SAP GUI Client to support UTF-8?

Client SAP ECC Character set encoding is Unicode. DSP Integrate output BDC file is in UTF-8. What is the process to change SAP GUI Client to support UTF-8? The current work around is to re-save the output file in Unicode.

  Change the SAP GUI Client to support UTF-8 by navigating to the settings for the System Entry in SAP Logon and editing the "Upload/Download Encoding" section.
