Has anyone encountered any "gochas" in DSP with a BODS upgrade?

Our client's BI team wants to do an upgrade of BODS to 4.2 service pack 2. They are currently at 4.1 sp 6. and DSP 6.5.6. Do we have any issues/concerns if they go ahead with the upgrade to BODS? Has anyone encountered any "gochas" in DSP with a BODS upgrade?

  JCohen: There "shouldn't" be an issues from the DSP side. Make sure they upgrade to the version that is in the support band for DSP 6.5.6 (IPS 4.1 SP8, DS 4.2 SP7, and IS 4.2 SP7).   The following needs to happen, so plan accordingly:

  • DS Designer upgraded on DSP app server.
  • All DS Repos upgraded & tested at appropriate version of DS.
  • All DS Repo connections registered in DSP will likely need to be reviewed to ensure the web services URL is still correct. I believe the version number on the end of the URL changes.
