How do I get the latest service packs for IS-related software?

We are applying the latest patches for IS-related software for our client. This process involves updating Information Steward, Data Services and IPS. I know we cannot use the latest SP for updating, since there may be compatibility issues (this as a result of a warning message and looking up the SAP note).

Client software versions are:

• SBOP Information Plat Services 4.2 SP02 (Patch level 1)
• SAP Information Steward 4.2 SP7
• SAP DATA SERVICES 4.2 SP7.

I am looking for advice on how to get the latest service packs, or is this a case of only applying the latest patch levels for those SPs?
