How do I determine in-transit inventory? I need to do this through SAP tables (not with a TCODE) because the client has requested that I set up a staging table with in-transit inventory data.
Some additional information:
The client is interested in including records whose quantities are not visible at some point in time in the MCHB table. If I am not mistaken, the 2-step movement types 313 and 314 instantly move inventories, so there really is not any amount of in-transit at a point in time.
We are interested the following:
1. Stock transfer between 2 plants, same company
2. Stock transfer between 2 plants, different companies
Yes, I understand the in-transit is “virtual,” which is the reason for creating this stStaging table. I figured we would have to calculate the difference between goods issue and goods receipt from PO history. Is this calculated in MB5T?
We need quantities by batch, so using the TRAME field from MARD for intra-company stock transfers is not good. Can we use the “difference between goods issue and goods receipt” approach for intra-company stock transfers as well as for inter-company stock transfers? If so, what are the tables and fields?
