Data Stewardship Platform
The 6.7 release of the DSP has been shipped to SAP for Premium Qualification (PQ) testing and this is ongoing. DSP 6.7.1 is scheduled for internal release May 18th and this will be shipped to SAP soon after that date and should be available once 6.7 PQ testing is complete.
DSP 7.0 is currently in development with the focus on a new UI, aligning more closely to the IGC, as well as integration with the IGC for rule enforcement. The plan is for this to release around end of July / early August. DSP 7.0 will additionally support Windows Server 2016 and SQL Server 2017 and we will be moving to a hosted help system to remove the reliance on documentation being shipped as part of the product and allow us to enrich help with video and other media to support the end user with a richer experience.
SAP Data Hub
In September 2017 SAP released a new product called SAP Data Hub.
From SAP - “SAP Data Hub is a DataOps Management Solution with data sharing, pipelining and orchestration capabilities that help companies accelerate and expand data flow across a diverse data landscape”
To read more from SAP, see this post - https://blogs.saphana.com/2017/10/04/what-is-sap-data-hub-and-answers-to-other-frequently-asked-questions/
Data Hub is aimed at technical users and uses SAP HANA, SAP Vora, Big Data technologies and containerisation. Our products can work in conjunction with Data Hub as we produce objects that can be orchestrated in Data Hub Workflows, and IGC and DSP functionality can be consumed or invoked from within a Pipeline Graph.
A cut down developer edition is available, see this blog for more information - https://blogs.sap.com/2017/12/06/sap-data-hub-developer-edition/.
