    Hi Ravi,

This sounds like a problem with the throughput/bandwidth of the network connection between the SST/DSP application server and your client machine. Even at 20Mbps through a VPN, you would not be waiting 15 minutes to download 50mb. I recommend you reach out to CloudOps (the app server host in your case) and ask them to measure the throughput/bandwidth of the connection to your client machine. You will need to provide them the IP address of your client machine for this request.

     ~15 to 20mins for 50MB report

I could be off on this assessment, but it sounds like you have internet connectivity / speed issues. Have you done a speed test? I work through a VPN and I can download a 50MB file in less than 5 seconds. Are you sure that you have the file size of 50MB listed correctly?

Here is my speed test results from Google.

Is there any other way we can download the reports in quicker/faster way?

Not that I am aware of. Although I highly doubt that this will make a difference, have you tried to download the file using Windows Explorer from the server?

Can we directly save reports into local desktop/laptop folder instead of saving it to server first and then downloading it into local desktop/laptop?

DSP is running on a server. I can't imagine how you could do this.

As a temporary solution, have you considered running the report in SSMS and then saving directly from the grid? Probably not a good solution if you have many reports to run.

    Hi Joseph,

    Thanks for your response.

I am using a WIFI of 50Mbps speed and when i connect to VPN it goes all the way down to 20 to 25Mbps.

I did speed test and PFB the screenshot,

I performed speed test multiple times and every time its giving me different results ranging from 2Mbps to 30Mbps speed.

Yes i tried downloading reports from Windows server, but its also taking more time.

SSMS is not feasible in my case as i have hundreds of reports to be downloaded.

    Thanks & Regards

    Ravi
