It's already a well-known fact that the Centralized Reporting feature in dspMigrate is a fast and convenient way in viewing reports on either a source or target table in the Transform tool. Further, access to such reports functions independently from the Security Role(s) to which a user may be assigned in System Administration. But what if these reports contain sensitive information such as HCM information or financials?
In this scenario, an additional flag can be applied to a report and access to such flagged reports can be restricted on an individual basis.
First, a report must be flagged as 'Sensitive.'
- In Transform, navigate to reports at either the source or target level.
- Access the Vertical View of the report which will be flagged as sensitive.
- Click the Business User Settings tab.
- Enable the Sensitive check box.
Now that the report has been flagged, users must be further configured so access to sensitive reports will be allowed. Without this extra configuration, viewing a sensitive report will return 0 records, even if the user is specified as a recipient of the report.
- While in the vertical view, click Business User Assignment.
- Select the user(s) who will have access to the sensitive report.
- Click the Open Lock icon at the top of the page.
Now a check appears under the 'ALL ACCESS' column for user(s). ALL ACCESS cannot be checked unless a user has been granted access to the report first.
