1. Information Governance Universal Connect Integration
IG Universal Connect was created through a new partnership with Dell where we established an OEM of their Integration Platform as a Service (iPaaS) offering: Dell Boomi. This partnership allows us to package universal connectivity as a core feature of the DSP to all current and future customers.
In short, Universal Connect gives the DSP the ability to interface with any and all systems including, but not limited to, SalesForce, SuccessFactors, Workday, Infor, Netsuite, Dynamics, Oracle EBS, Marketo and Hybris. It also allows for the robust creation and importing of XML and JSON data, as well as connectivity to big data datastore such as Hadoop. These interfaces are developed and configured using a combination of content and a visual designer to create and debug the connections between the DSP and a wide variety of systems.
As of DSP 6.6.1, IG Universal Connect is now fully integrated with the platform. Integration points include:
IGUC Data Source Type
- Allows for the registration of a Boomi Account + Atom combination.
IGUC Package Type in Collect
- Extract data from Salesforce, SuccessFactors, ADP, etc
- Import XML files
- Import JSON payloads
IGUC Template Type in Integrate
- Load data to Workday, Salesforce, SuccessFactors, ADP, etc
- Export complex XML files
- Load data to Oracle EBS
IGUC Processes execution from Events on Custom Pages
- Validation from external web service provider like QA
- Import data from Dunn & Bradstreet
- Send Migration Target status to external tracking system
2. dspMonitor Modernization
As of DSP 6.6.1, dspMonitor has been modernized and revamped to provide better data quality reporting for more insights and more value. Enhancements include:
Data Quality Thresholds
The ability to specify different scoring thresholds which are then used to drive the status coloring of the data quality status and workflow notifications.
Opportunity / Defect Modeling
Error reports can now be assigned an Opportunity view to allow for the number of assessed records to be compared to the number of failed records.
Data Quality Scoring
The assignment of Opportunity Views to Error Reports allows dspMonitor to calculate the Data Quality Score (percentage of failures compared to opportunities) and the DPMO (Defects Per Million Opportunities). This score can then be monitored and visualized on the dashboard at multiple levels including: Group, Object, Report, Application, Table and Field.
Sigma Level Scoring
Sigma Level is a statistical term that measures how much a process varies from perfection, based on the number of defects per million units. dspMonitor now allows the user to configure thresholds and send workflow based on sigma level classifications.

New Dashboards and Scorecards
The new dashboard initially shows the summarized data quality scores for all processed reports (Overall) and by Quality Dimension in the top panel with the lower panel showing the score, no of reports, no of tables, no of columns, no of errors and a link to the history chart that make up the score above. By clicking on the dial in the top panel, the focus for the lower panel will change to that of the specified quality dimension. The user has the option to filter the dashboard to only include their reports using the toggle in the top right hand corner.
The user can choose to focus the dashboard by Group, Object or Application to visualize the Data Quality Scoring from multiple vantage points.
