Q: I need to open up some ports on our firewall to enable me to run Syniti DR/DBMoto replications. What ports and protocols does Syniti DR/DBMoto use for replication?
A: Syniti DR/DBMoto uses the TCP/IP protocol and opens the following ports:
58360 for communication between the Management Center and the Replication Agent/Data Replicator.

Additional port numbers used depend on the database types involved in replications. For example, below are port numbers required for Microsoft SQL Server and IBM Db2 for i (iSeries/AS400)
SQL Server: Default port number is 1433, but this can be configured using the SQL Server Configuration Manager.
IBM Db2 for i (iSeries/AS400): 8471
