The Syniti Data Workbench software (formerly Quadrate) communicates with S/4HANA applications via remote function calls (RFC). Following the release of S/4HANA 2021 in October of 2021, we have seen that critical RFC operations - such as BDC Template Recording - are failing with an error message after customers upgrade their S/4HANA application.
With the release of Data Workbench 10.2.21, we have resolved the RFC issues encountered with S/4HANA 2021. Anybody experiencing these issues or considering the upgrade to S/4HANA 2021 should plan to upgrade their Data Workbench to 10.2.21.
