Has anyone developed a CLR function to read the Microsoft Windows Search catalog?

Has anyone developed a CLR function to read the Microsoft Windows Search catalog? It is possible to create a Linked Server for Search (using OLE DB), but it looks like Microsoft chooses not to enable the reading of Search via a Linked Server.   PCardoso: Kurt, I have not had the need to do this. I did some digging and it appears this is an area that has lacked attention from Microsoft and the CLR wrapper seems to be the only viable approach. Here’s a stackoverflow link that outlines a solution:
