Is there a BOA Function to check a previous record?

We are looking for a way to check a previous record. Does anyone have experience with or know of a BOA Function offhand that we can leverage for this type of iterative check?

We are scanning through historical records with an employee type 'B' to determine the earliest date this status was assigned. For example, if the EE’s current record (#1) has a ‘B’, check if their previous record (#2) also has a 'B', if no, use current record #1’s start date, if yes, check record #3 etc.

  • LEAD (for the next record). https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sql/t-sql/functions/lead-transact-sql?view=sql-server-2017
