We are pleased to announce the availability of the 8.0.2 release of the Stewardship Tier as of January 4th, 2023. In this release, Syniti has addressed several issues that were highlighted during the SAP Premium Qualification process. Additionally, we have deprecated the Advanced Data Migration SAP Data Services Autogen service. This feature was flagged as having vulnerabilities during a code scan and it was rarely (if ever) used. Manually-created SAP Data Services Jobs can continue to be called from Advanced Data Migration.
Syniti commits to providing customers with support for the current and one-prior major version of our Stewardship Tier (formerly DSP) software. Therefore, the release of Stewardship Tier 8.0.0 placed all 6.x versions into ‘extended maintenance’ immediately, where we will no longer provide any new patches but we will provide support and our best efforts to identify workarounds. After 12 months of extended maintenance, effective September 13th 2023, support for 6.x versions will no longer be available. In order to continue to receive support after that date, customers must have upgraded to a supported version – 7.x or 8.x. Syniti Account Executives will send relevant communications to affected customers, who will no doubt require support from our delivery teams with associated upgrades. We also hope that this will provide new opportunities to transition customers to the Syniti Knowledge Platform.
The 8.0.2 release is available for direct customers to download via this type of request at support.syniti.com. Customers' Stewardship Tier instances that are hosted by Syniti will be upgraded as per their agreed upgrade schedule. We are working with SAP to approve 8.0.2 for our Solex ADM customers in Q1 2023, at which time Solex ADM 6.x will be subject to a similar 12-month extended maintenance period followed by the end of support.
We encourage all Synizens to upgrade Stewardship Tier instances they are responsible for as soon as possible to this version.
